If we had to describe 2025 in one sentence, it would be this: the year we doubled down on our People + AI philosophy, proving that better tools and better humans together can bring clearer outcomes, stronger delivery, and real impact.
But honestly, one sentence never tells the full truth.
2025 was a year of consolidation, clarity, and intentional growth. After years of building across services, programs, and partnerships, we took a breath and focused on what really matters: tightening our core offers, strengthening delivery, and reducing complexity.
Not because we wanted to slow down.
Because we play the long game.
The numbers that anchored our year
Before we get reflective, here are the outcomes we’re grounding this story in:
In 2025, we served a total of 582 clients and partners: 550 B2C and 32 B2B. That’s the number that matters most to us.
600 coworking members
70+ companies engaged across our broader ecosystem
25+ events with 548 participants
12 ecosystem events
100+ program participants
100+ training hours delivered
350,000+ content reach
550 B2C clients and 32 B2B clients supported
7 startup teams built
We’re proud of those numbers. But what we’re most proud of is what they represent: that people trusted Livit enough to come back, to build with us, and to bring their work (and their questions, and sometimes their uncertainty) into our orbit.
A year of getting clear (and getting stronger)
2025 had three threads running through it.
First, our People + AI philosophy stopped being a “nice idea” and became a day-to-day thing. A lens. A practice. A way of learning without getting lost in hype. Because the goal isn’t to become a robot. It’s to do better work and still feel like yourself.
Second, we grew up operationally. Clearer ownership, better reporting lines, more consistent delivery.
Third, we strengthened legal, compliance, and ecosystem support, because in this market, that’s what people needed to feel safe and steady — especially teams working across borders or trying to set up properly in Indonesia.
Lavinia put it simply: “2025 was a consolidating and clarifying year for Livit.”
The backdrop: a tougher market (and a lot of shifting ground)
We’re not going to pretend 2025 was an easy year for the wider ecosystem.
Startups and SMEs dealt with tighter budgets, slower decisions, hiring freezes, and layoffs. And at the same time, AI kept shifting what “work” even looks like. Some teams felt that shift as possibility. Others felt it as disruption. Most felt it as both, depending on the week.
In a year like that, it’s tempting to react loudly: push more, launch more, chase volume, fill the calendar, keep moving so you don’t have to sit with uncertainty.
We chose something quieter: focus.
We leaned into sustainable, diversified growth, operational excellence, and reinvention. We chose depth over scale, long-term value over quick wins, and stickier relationships over “more, more, more.”
2025 wasn’t about chasing volume. It was about showing up for the people who needed us most: founders, startups, SMEs, and remote workers building from Indonesia, or living and working here compliantly.

What we focused on, and why it mattered
A lot of the best work we did in 2025 wasn’t flashy. It was the kind of work that makes everything else possible.
Legal and compliance support that reduces stress
Indonesia can be an incredible place to build. It can also be confusing when you’re trying to do things properly, and the information around you is conflicting or fragmented.
In 2025, we strengthened legal and compliance leadership in a meaningful way, helping companies navigate the regulatory landscape with more clarity and confidence. That included PMA support (and the creation of our Essentials for PMAs Guide, as a downloadable resource), work permits, and structuring operations in a way that’s sustainable.
We also made compliance feel less intimidating by taking it out of the “legal bubble” and into real conversations. We ran a small roadshow-style series on staying compliant across Bali in Sanur, Ubud, Uluwatu, and Canggu, so founders and teams could ask honest questions, get clear answers, and leave feeling more confident about how to operate properly here.
Because compliance isn’t just paperwork. It’s peace of mind.

Operational excellence and people services that hold up under pressure
On the B2B side, our work continued to span Employee of Record solutions, financial and HR support, organizational design, and selective hiring support shaped around real operational needs.
Internally, we invested heavily in what we’d call “baseline excellence”: clearer SOPs, better coordination, more proactive support, stronger cross-team communication. It’s not the kind of thing you put on a billboard — but it’s the difference between “we’re surviving” and “we’re actually delivering well.”
In a year where the world felt unpredictable, consistency became a kind of care.
The work we kept saying yes to
Even with a focus-first year, we continued saying yes to initiatives that align with the ecosystem we want to strengthen.
Education and entrepreneur-led learning
Education became a bigger part of our story in 2025.
We focused on bridging theory and practice: translating entrepreneurial experience into real-world case studies and applied learning. We delivered this through collaborations with partners such as UNTRIM/Stenden, Think Pacific, Princeton, and multiple universities participating in Asia Exchange programs.
The goal was always relevance: learning designed from the entrepreneur’s point of view, for students preparing for modern, cross-border careers.

Women entrepreneurship, because it’s personal
As a female-led company, supporting women-led entrepreneurship isn’t just an initiative — it’s personal.
In 2025, we supported women founders through events, collaborations, and community-driven programs. Highlights included Ntegrity workations and team gatherings, the launch of LIFTWOMEN’S Bali chapter, and Epic Angels’ hybrid pitch events connecting founders across locations.
These weren’t just “nice moments.” They were about access — to networks, to capital conversations, and to each other.
Sustainability-oriented companies and partners
We continued providing tailored support to sustainability-driven organisations committed to environmental and social impact. Through flexible packages and hands-on support, we helped mission-aligned teams operate and grow without compromising their values.
Impact partners this year included ReClimaTech, Forest Carbon, Sustainable Coconut Partnerships, IPLNF, and Dala Institute, among others.
Events, programs, and real conversations

In 2025, Livit stayed active in the most Livit way: people gathering.
We hosted 25+ events with 548 participants, plus 12 ecosystem events throughout the year (including three in-person at the hub). Some were structured
sessions. Some were community conversations that turned into collaborations. Some were simply the kind of gathering where you leave feeling more steady than when you arrived.
Alongside a full fledged People & AI Month community challenge, we continued hosting the AI Trends & Updates for Non-Techies series — simple, practical sessions to help teams make sense of what’s changing, what’s worth testing, and what’s just noise. We also hosted our ESG, Sustainability & Climate Tech Networking Lunch quarterly, creating a consistent space for people working in sustainability and climate tech to meet, share notes, and build real connections.
We also marked milestones worth pausing for: 7 years of the Hub and 5 years of Remote Skills Academy. Not small numbers, not easy years: real time, real work, real people.
Two sessions we’re still thinking about
Some talks are interesting in the moment. A few genuinely stick.
Paolo Ramazzotti’s “LLM Visibility: How Smart Brands Show Up in AI Search”
Paolo Ramazzotti’s session on LLM Visibility mattered because it made a shift feel real: the way people discover brands is changing fast, and AI tools are now part of that discovery layer.
This wasn’t about SEO tricks. It was about semantic clarity, strategic positioning, and trust — in a world where search doesn’t look the way it used to. For founders building in a crowded market, that message landed.
Maaria Tiensivu’s “Purpose Driven AI”
Maaria Tiensivu’s session put language to something we see often: AI projects fail not because tools are weak, but because intention is weak.

Her framing was practical and human: define the real need first, choose what people will actually adopt, and use AI to support human work rather than create more noise. It aligned with the direction we’re moving — less hype, more usefulness.
Community and ecosystem: who showed up, and how

Our 2025 community was largely made up of remote workers and globally minded builders, people operating across time zones, industries, and life stages.
And the best parts weren’t always the biggest moments. It was the everyday engagement: coworking that turned into friendships, conversations that helped someone get unstuck, collaborations sparked through small introductions that actually went somewhere.
Devi captured it well: the standout moments were seeing members collaborate, support one another, and grow together through community events and daily interactions at the hub. That quiet peer support — the kind that isn’t performative — is still one of the strongest signals that what we’re building matters.
We also took time to recognise people who amplified the ecosystem in a genuine way, including Stewart Gauld and Emma Garrett from Syndeo, and to show gratitude to the vendors and partners who helped carry milestone moments throughout the year.

We ended the year with what we called a year-end party, but it was really a gratitude session with good music and very good food. 2025 gave us a lot to celebrate—projects launched, partnerships built, ideas tested, lessons learned—and a community that kept showing up. We’re deeply thankful to our clients, partners, friends, members, and the entire Livit team for trusting us, supporting us, and growing alongside us throughout the year. A special thank you to the partners who helped make the night feel extra special: BukaPO for the beautifully curated Indonesian snacks, Izzi Bali for the comforting savory dishes, and Moba Bali for the homemade sausages that were a clear crowd favorite.
Partnerships that powered progress
A big part of our work in 2025 was partnerships built on trust and repetition. Over the year, that meant strong ecosystem ties with Asia Exchange, UNTRIM/Stenden, Arhipelago/Afaceri.ro, AI SEA 2025 (with Slash and RegPac), Running Remote and the AI Maturity Index. We continued collaborations with Boundless Life, Think Pacific, Universa, and Founder Institute, among others. Through Remote Skills Academy’s partnership with AVPN, AI Upskilling reached 10,000 registered learners. We’re careful about not turning partnerships into a checklist — what mattered most is that these relationships helped people do real things: learn, build, hire, relocate, operate properly, upskill/reskill and connect to the right ecosystem at the right time.
People & AI Month
We created People & AI Month for a very simple reason: AI was accelerating, and most people were either overwhelmed, distracted, or quietly pretending they were fine.
So we built something grounded: a month-long practical learning program combining a Slack-based community learning challenge, live sessions, and the AI Maturity Index assessment. The goal wasn’t to turn anyone into an “AI expert.” It was to build confident habits and better judgment — human-first, hype-resistant, and actually usable in real workflows.

Where Livit showed up publicly in 2025
In 2025, Livit also showed up publicly in a few ways that felt genuinely aligned with our work. Lavinia shared culture-first employee engagement and productivity insights with Vinicius Coelho (Time Doctor), spoke at Apple Developer Academy on Stories of Women in Tech and Business, and recorded the Purpose Driven AI Podcast and the Humans + AI Podcast with Ross Dawson (both coming in Q1 2026). Remote Skills Academy was also featured in Tech in Asia, which was a proud moment for the wider ecosystem we’re building.
We received a few external nods that felt meaningful — not because we chase recognition, but because they reflected years of consistent work. Lavinia was named by The PIE Leadership Digest as one of the Top 50 Voices in Asia Pacific (2025), alongside global figures like Malala Yousafzai. Our CEO and leadership team were selected for the Stanford Graduate School of Business Seed Transformation Program for impact-driven CEOs and executive teams. And our entire leadership team became AI-Fluency Certified through Anthropic, which felt like a practical way of living out our People + AI philosophy, not just talking about it.
A quick note on the hard parts
2025 came with pressure.
AI disrupted business models for many partners and clients. Layoffs and tighter budgets continued. Internally, the work required sharper coordination and clearer communication just to keep delivery steady across everything we were holding.
We’re not proud of pressure for the sake of pressure. But we are proud of what it pulled out of us: more reinvention, more creativity, more collaboration, and more willingness to tighten the bases.
There’s a kind of maturity that comes from being forced to choose what matters. 2025 made those choices unavoidable — and that ended up being a gift.

What 2025 set up for 2026
2025 helped us get really clear on what Livit is here for, and what we do best.
Going into 2026, we feel steadier, more consistent, and more prepared. Behind the scenes, we’ve tightened how we work so support feels clearer and smoother — for our team, and for the people we serve.
We’re also building more long-term relationships across the ecosystem, so people don’t just find us once — they stay connected, and the support can go deeper over time.
Most importantly, we’re ready to keep showing up for the people we serve best: startups, SMEs, founders, and remote workers building from anywhere in the world, and the teams who choose Indonesia as their base along the way — with support that’s practical, trust-worthy, and human.
To everyone who was part of our 2025 — members, partners, collaborators, vendors, and team — thank you. You shaped this year in all the ways that mattered.
Here’s to an even bolder 2026.
